1. Purpose & Scope
This leave policy applies to all full-time employees of Timbuckdo. The objective is to ensure a fair and transparent leave structure while maintaining operational efficiency. The policy shall be strictly applicable for permanent employees working after confirmation letter. And same shall be subjected to changes and amendment/modification from time to time, with absolute discretion of the company.
2. Types of Leave
2.1 Casual Leave (CL)
- Employees are entitled to 12 days of casual leave per year.
- Casual leave can be used for personal matters, unforeseen circumstances, or short-term commitments.
2.2 Sick Leave (SL)
- Employees are entitled to 11 days of sick leave per year.
- Sick leave can be availed for personal health-related issues.
- Employees must inform their manager at the earliest and may be required to submit a medical certificate for extended sick leave (more than 3 days).
- Unused sick leave cannot be encashed or carried forward.
2.3 Leave Carry Forward & Accrual
- A maximum of 7 of unused casual leaves can be carried forward to the next year.
- Leaves beyond this limit will lapse at the end of the calendar year.
2.4 Leave During Probation Period
- New employees are eligible only for SL from their date of joining subjected to approval of the immediate reporting manager /HR. The number of days shall be at the absolute discretion of the company.
3. Leave Application & Approval Process
- Employees must apply for leave through the DigiSME portal.
- Simultaneously, they must intimate their direct manager via email for approval.
- For planned casual leave, employees must apply at least 7 days in advance.
- In case of emergency or sick leave, employees should inform their manager as soon as possible.
4. General Guidelines
- Leaves should be planned to avoid disruption to work.
- Any leave beyond entitlement will be considered as unpaid leave unless approved otherwise.
- Managers have the discretion to approve or deny leave based on workload and business needs.
5. Unapproved and Unauthorized Leave
- In the event an employee has failed to attend work without explanation and all attempts have been made to contact the employee over the course of a few days, including any emergency contact, he or she remained unresponsive then the company is at discretion to terminate after issuing show cause notice.
