Timbuckdo Community Guidelines

These Community Guidelines set out the expected standards of conduct for users of the Timbuckdo platform, including the website and mobile application (the “Platform”).

Timbuckdo is committed to fostering a safe, respectful, and trustworthy environment for students, organizations, and partners participating in gigs, campaigns, promotional activities, and other interactions facilitated through the Platform.

By accessing or using the Platform, users agree to comply with these Community Guidelines, in addition to the Platform’s Terms of Service and other applicable policies. Failure to follow these Guidelines may result in actions including content removal, restriction of Platform features, suspension, or termination of user accounts, as described in the Terms of Service.

1. Respectful Conduct

Users must interact with other users, organizations, partners, and representatives of the Platform in a respectful, professional, and lawful manner at all times while using the Platform.

The following conduct is strictly prohibited:

  • harassment, bullying, intimidation, or coercive behavior
  • abusive, threatening, defamatory, or discriminatory language
  • hate speech or conduct targeting individuals or groups based on protected characteristics
  • stalking, persistent unwanted communication, or any behavior that creates a hostile or unsafe environment

Any violation of these standards may result in actions by the Platform, including content removal, suspension of Platform access, or termination of user accounts in accordance with the Platform’s Terms of Service.

2. Honest Participation

Users must provide accurate, complete, and truthful information when registering for an account on the Platform and when participating in any gigs, campaigns, promotional activities, or rewards programs offered through the Platform.

Users must not:

  • impersonate any individual, organization, or entity
  • create or operate multiple accounts for the purpose of gaining an unfair advantage or circumventing Platform controls
  • provide false, inaccurate, or misleading information regarding eligibility, participation, or completion of tasks
  • misrepresent their identity, educational institution, affiliation, qualifications, or other credentials

Any attempt to manipulate participation requirements, verification processes, or reward mechanisms may result in suspension or termination of the user account, cancellation of rewards, or other appropriate action under the Platform’s Terms of Service.

3. Compliance with Laws

Users must comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and legal requirements when accessing or using the Platform or participating in any gigs, campaigns, promotional activities, or rewards programs available through the Platform.

Users must not use the Platform to engage in any unlawful, fraudulent, or prohibited activities, including but not limited to conduct that violates criminal laws, consumer protection laws, intellectual property rights, advertising regulations, or other applicable legal obligations.

Any activity that is illegal, deceptive, or intended to misuse the Platform or harm other users, organizations, or partners is strictly prohibited.

The Platform reserves the right to suspend or terminate user accounts, remove content, or take other appropriate action where users engage in conduct that violates applicable laws or these Guidelines.

4. Prohibited Activities

Users must not use the Platform to engage in any activities that compromise the integrity, security, or lawful operation of the Platform or the interests of other users, organizations, or partners.

Without limitation, users must not:

  • engage in fraud, deception, or other dishonest practices in connection with gigs, campaigns, rewards, or any Platform activity
  • manipulate, exploit, or abuse the Donut rewards system, promotional campaigns, referral mechanisms, or incentive programs
  • introduce, distribute, or transmit malware, viruses, malicious software, or any harmful code or content through the Platform
  • interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to compromise the functionality, availability, or security of the Platform or its related systems
  • attempt to gain unauthorized access to Platform systems, databases, networks, or user accounts, including through hacking, password harvesting, or other unauthorized means

Any violation of these provisions may result in removal of content, suspension or termination of user accounts, cancellation of rewards or incentives, and other actions deemed appropriate under the Platform’s Terms of Service.

5. Rewards and Campaign Integrity

The Donut rewards system and promotional campaigns available on the Platform are intended to encourage genuine participation and fair engagement by users.

Users must not:

  • create or operate multiple accounts for the purpose of accumulating rewards or obtaining unfair benefits
  • artificially manipulate campaign participation metrics, including through coordinated or deceptive activities
  • use automated tools, scripts, bots, or other technological means to exploit or interfere with the rewards system
  • falsely claim completion of tasks, campaign participation, or eligibility for rewards

Where misuse, manipulation, or abuse of the rewards system is detected or reasonably suspected, Timbuckdo reserves the right to cancel or withhold rewards, suspend or terminate user accounts, restrict access to certain Platform features, or take other appropriate action under the Platform’s Terms of Service.

6. Content Standards

Users may submit or share content on the Platform, including but not limited to profile information, messages, comments, images, or other materials (“User Content”).

All User Content must comply with applicable laws and must not:

  • violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • infringe or misappropriate the intellectual property or other rights of any person or entity
  • contain abusive, defamatory, misleading, or false information
  • promote illegal, fraudulent, or harmful activities
  • include sexually explicit, violent, obscene, or otherwise offensive material

Timbuckdo reserves the right to review, remove, restrict, or disable access to any User Content that violates these standards or is otherwise considered inappropriate, and may take additional action, including suspension or termination of user accounts, in accordance with the Platform’s Terms of Service.

7. Safety in Gig Participation

Students and other users participating in gigs or promotional campaigns through the Platform are expected to exercise reasonable judgment and caution when engaging in any activities associated with such gigs or campaigns.

Users are encouraged to:

  • verify the details, legitimacy, and requirements of a campaign or gig before participating
  • promptly report any suspicious, unsafe, or inappropriate activities encountered on or through the Platform
  • avoid sharing unnecessary personal or sensitive information during gig participation

Organizations, brands, or partners offering gigs or campaigns through the Platform are responsible for ensuring that such activities are lawful, ethical, and conducted in a manner that prioritizes participant safety.

Timbuckdo may review, restrict, or remove gigs or campaigns that appear unsafe, unlawful, misleading, or inconsistent with these Guidelines or the Platform’s Terms of Service.

8. Impersonation and Identity Misuse

Users must not engage in impersonation or misuse of identity when accessing or using the Platform.

In particular, users must not:

  • impersonate any other individual, organization, or entity
  • create or maintain accounts using false, fictitious, or misleading identities
  • use, access, or misuse another person’s personal information, credentials, or account without authorization

Timbuckdo may require users to provide or verify identity information in order to access certain Platform features, participate in specific campaigns, or receive rewards.

Failure to comply with identity verification requirements, or any misuse of identity, may result in suspension or termination of the user account and other appropriate action under the Platform’s Terms of Service.

9. Spam and Unsolicited Communications

Users must not use the Platform to transmit or distribute spam or unsolicited communications to other users, organizations, or partners.

In particular, users must not:

  • send spam messages or mass unsolicited communications
  • distribute unsolicited promotional, advertising, or marketing content without authorization
  • engage in repetitive, disruptive, or excessive messaging that interferes with normal use of the Platform

Timbuckdo may monitor, restrict, or remove communications that violate these standards and may suspend or terminate user accounts that engage in spam or other abusive communication practices in accordance with the Platform’s Terms of Service.

10. Enforcement

Timbuckdo reserves the right to investigate any suspected or reported violations of these Community Guidelines or the Platform’s Terms of Service.

Where a violation is identified, Timbuckdo may take appropriate enforcement actions, including but not limited to:

  • issuing warning notices to the user
  • removing or restricting access to content that violates these Guidelines
  • cancelling or withholding rewards or incentives obtained through misuse of the Platform
  • temporarily suspending user accounts or restricting access to certain Platform features
  • permanently terminating user accounts in cases of repeated or serious violations

In cases involving unlawful activity, fraud, threats to user safety, or other serious misconduct, Timbuckdo may report the matter to relevant law enforcement or regulatory authorities where required or permitted under applicable law.

11. Eligibility and Responsible Participation

Users must meet the eligibility requirements specified in the Platform’s Terms of Service in order to create an account or participate in gigs, campaigns, or reward programs.

Users participating in campaigns must act responsibly and in accordance with the requirements communicated by the Platform or the relevant organization offering the campaign.

Where campaigns are intended for students or individuals associated with educational institutions, users must ensure that the information provided regarding their institution, status, or affiliation is accurate and verifiable.

Timbuckdo reserves the right to request additional verification where eligibility for participation or rewards is in question.

12. Brand and Campaign Conduct

Users participating in promotional campaigns or brand engagement activities through the Platform must represent participating organizations and brands in a responsible and lawful manner.

Users must not:

  • misrepresent a campaign, brand, or promotional offer
  • engage in misleading advertising or deceptive promotional practices
  • distribute unauthorized promotional materials
  • conduct activities that could harm the reputation or integrity of the brand, organization, or the Platform

Organizations offering campaigns through the Platform must ensure that campaign instructions, promotional materials, and engagement activities comply with applicable advertising, marketing, and consumer protection laws.

13. Platform Moderation and Discretion

Timbuckdo may monitor activities on the Platform in order to maintain a safe and compliant environment for users, organizations, and partners.

The Platform reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to:

  • review user activities and campaign participation
  • remove or restrict access to content or features
  • suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Guidelines or the Platform’s Terms of Service
  • take any other action necessary to maintain the integrity, security, and proper functioning of the Platform

Such actions may be taken without prior notice where reasonably necessary to prevent misuse of the Platform, protect users, or comply with legal obligations.

14. Reporting Violations

Users are encouraged to report any suspected violations of these Community Guidelines, unlawful conduct, or suspicious activity encountered on the Platform.

Reports may be submitted through the Platform’s designated support channels. Timbuckdo will review such reports and may take appropriate action in accordance with these Guidelines and the Platform’s Terms of Service.

16. Updates to Community Guidelines

Timbuckdo may revise or update these Community Guidelines from time to time to reflect changes in Platform features, applicable laws, or operational practices.

Any updated version of the Community Guidelines will be published on the Platform and will take effect from the “Effective Date” indicated in the updated document. Continued use of the Platform after such updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Community Guidelines.

17. Off-Platform Conduct and Safety

Certain gigs, campaigns, or promotional activities available through the Platform may involve interactions, activities, or engagements that occur outside the Platform environment, including in physical locations such as campuses, events, retail outlets, or public spaces.

Users participating in such activities are expected to conduct themselves in a responsible, lawful, and safe manner and must comply with applicable laws, local regulations, and any instructions provided by the participating organization or the Platform.

Users must not engage in conduct during such activities that is unlawful, unsafe, fraudulent, or harmful to other participants, organizations, or members of the public.

Timbuckdo is not responsible for the actions of users or organizations during off-platform activities; however, the Platform reserves the right to investigate complaints relating to such conduct and may take appropriate action, including suspension or termination of user accounts, where such conduct violates these Community Guidelines or the Platform’s Terms of Service.
